Ashlee Johnson
Associate Attorney
Ashlee was born and raised on the south side of Chicago. She graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Arts in English. She received a Master of Arts in Humanities from the University of Chicago, and went on to UIC Law School, formerly known as The John Marshall Law School. Ashlee has always had a passion for providing access to justice to those with limited to no resources, and while in law school, she expanded on that passion through internships with the Legal Council for Health Justice, in the Appeals Division of the Cook County Public Guardian, and the Office of the State Appellate Defender (OSAD). After graduating from law school and passing the bar, Ashlee worked as an Assistant Appellate Defender at OSAD for over five years, continuing to provide legal representation to indigent clients in their criminal appeals. Outside of her legal work, Ashlee enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and traveling.
